roma – The Immersive Experience in the world of the Impressionists is one of the most extraordinary cultural events in the world of culture. A very particular idea that allows art lovers to experience live in first person, not the emotions we feel when we are in front of a famous painting, but the emotions we feel when we are INSIDE the famous painting.
The original part of this experience lies in totally immersing yourself in the colors and shapes of each Impressionist masterpiece. In the case of the NEXTMuseum in Rome (2024), the experience was made with Monet’s most famous paintings. They will be projected on the walls, on the floor and on the roof of a hall, all the images of his paintings, are accompanied by classical music that characterizes the subjects and the setting protagonists of the works of art.
Upon entering the room you are immediately projected into the set of the scene of the painting, which could be
“ Déjeneur sur l’ herbe”, for example. The spectator will be a character together with the other characters painted on the lawn or in the middle of the tall grass. The colors explode and dazzle, the brushstroke reaches us, as if the color passes over the spectator’s body, painting it and dirtying it with green or orange used, the latter, to create the setting sun.
And Monet’s “Japanese bridge”… how much romance and nature there is in that place: the birds sing, the butterflies fly and the streams whisper. The wisteria moved by the wind, caresses your hair and you can see the colored flowers one step away from you, because in the meantime the spectator immerses himself in the painted images, through the virtual reality viewers, until he himself becomes an Impressionist artist and painter.
In that immersion we understand the feelings and emotions that the artists of that era felt when experiencing the beauty of Nature through Carpe Diem!!
