LENTINI – On April 28, 2023, “The Greatest Show” took place at the Odeon Theater in Lentini, curated by “Ida and Oscar Animazione”, with the artistic direction of Giuliana Scandurra, the choreography by Natascia Turco, in collaboration with Andrea Miceli and the conduction of Mirko Rossitto. “Special interpreters” : Oscar Donato, Renata Russo, Claudio Pepi, Francesco Bellomia, Reika Garrasi, Delfo Scala, Fabio Rubera, Giorgia Di Pietro, Rachele Bellomia, Ludovica Guerriera, Enrica Sanfilippo, Luciano Nobile, Raissa Sanzaro.
Great surprise and pleasant sensation, arriving at Lentini’s “Odeon” theater and seeing it once again animated by people, cheered by the clamor of the audience before the show, and seeing its curtain that opens and lights up red, opening wide like an embrace of welcome to the people who, smiling, let themselves be enraptured by that youthful energy that is released at every dance step, at every smile, at every word and at every brilliant look that comes from every artist who performs.
All their positive energy and their emotions have reached the audience, and if a show manages to get “inside”, it means that it has succeeded!
Extraordinary to discover, behind the scenes, the frenzy of each young artist involved in the “The Greatest Show” project. They do breathing exercises, warm up their muscles, put on make-up, talk about each other, like the two artists met at the “welcoming”.
They describe all their passion for dance and art, their eyes shine as they tell how many sacrifices and dreams they have invested in what they do. It was extraordinary to discover how two female students converted their knowledge into the arts, singing and dancing. Magnificent, feeling catapulted into an atmosphere where you breathe the air of “Dreams”. All the artists involved have shown us that with willpower, sacrifice and passion, a beautiful idea, a dream, which may seem impossible at first, can become reality.
Oscar Donato and all the artists have shown that we must try to believe in what makes us feel good, we must believe in our dreams: Make your dreams come true! …it just depends on us.
The artistic group involved in this project has shown tenacity, will and determination. We are dealing with a heterogeneous group of artists: who can dance, who can sing, who can act, who can direct, who can create.
The teamwork has created a complex artistic project, which requires a lot of effort and effort. The chronological sequence of the events, taken from the film “The Greatest Showman”, is smooth, except for a few moments in which the scene is forced to change. The choreographies were perfectly tailored to the available stage spaces, and the artists were impeccably directed.
The final product brought to the scene a difficult and very topical issue: inclusion. What better vehicle than art to get social messages across in a “soft” and clear way.
All the interpreters have shown great passion in what they have done, they have launched a strong and unique message to the whole community, rekindling the hope of the possibility of a brighter future, characterized by the passion and dreams of the young people of our territory, full of artists capable of awakening souls, rekindling hopes and capable of making us dream again.
“Make your dream come true!”
